We welcome book orders placed through this site and by email or phone. We offer curbside pickup for customers who are unable to shop in store or prefer this approach. AND, we offer FREE SHIPPING on used book orders of $25.00, or more.
We offer shipping services to inmates in jails and prisons nationwide. The books must be purchased from our web site or at our store at 4764 Elmore Ave, Davenport, Iowa. Most institutions do not accept more than 5 books at a time nor hardcovers of any type. Please check with the authorities at the institution to insure you understand their limitations.
Teachers: Our store helps promote children's reading. If you are using your own money for classroom books (and what teacher doesn't?) you can use store credit donated by our customers toward 1/2 of your purchase to help out. Just let us know you are a school teacher or librarian. Teachers have saved over $23,700 using this program!

You can still set up an account, trade in books for store credit, establish a "Request List" of books you want and take advantage of the many benefits that accompany a partnership with The Book Rack of the Quad Cities.
We have regular customers from across the USA. Some ship books to us for trade credit of 25% of the cover price for paperbacks. Then, when they order books from our extensive inventory, their credit is applied toward 1/2 our regular price. They save far more than the cost of shipping a box of books via USPS Media Mail to us.
As some remote customers also do, you can provide us a list of the titles you want that we don't already have and we'll contact you when the books comes in. No obligation to buy. If you want we can ship it to you. We can even hold it for a few days in hopes more books come in for you to spread the shipping cost. And when you're in the neighborhood, we hope you will make a point of stopping in to browse in person and let us put a face with your name and phone voice.
